About Me

I will be a first year teacher (teaching second grade) at Laurel Hill Elementary School.  Go Lions!

I was born in Norfolk, Virginia and moved to Northern Virginia when I was five. I spent my elementary years in Fairfax County before moving to Massachusetts.  Talk about a change!  We lived there for about three years before we moved back to Northern Virginia where I would go to three different high schools.  This time allowed me to have many different experiences and meet many new people.  I graduated high school in 2007 and continued my education at Christopher Newport University.  Go Captains!

During my time at CNU, I played softball for four years and was lucky enough to make it to the Division III College World Series two years in a row.  I love sports and was so happy that I was able to continue playing at the collegic level and be so successful.  Even though I have graduated, I am still involved with the team through a graduate assistant coaching position.

I received my Bachelors of Arts in English from Christopher Newport University in 2011, and I will receive my Masters of Arts in Teaching this May upon the completion of my Student Internship. I have always had a passion for working with children and cannot wait to embark upon my teaching career!

I have a wonderful family that includes two younger sisters and many animals :)  My sister, Nicole, also chose CNU, and I enjoyed having her at school with me.  Allison will graduate high school this year and begin her college education.  We are quite the animal lovers in my house and have three dogs, a cat, a rabbit, and three birds.  In my spare time I love the beach, reading, and going to the movies.
